Two Mauston Men Arrested For Stealing Trailer
Matthew Skiff is facing multiple charges including Possession of Burglarious Tools, Receiving Stolen Property, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Adams County authorities notified Juneau County authorities of a stolen trailer containing John Deere equipment found in Adams County. The investigation discovered the trailer was taken from a construction site in Lake Delton on August 12th. A 1995 Chevy truck with distinguishing features was seen in surveillance photos. The truck was used in the theft of the trailer. A truck matching the description of the theft was spotted in a Mauston parking lot on August 15th. Authorities waited for someone to come out to the vehicle. Two men came out and got in the vehicle; both men matched the description of the men seen in the surveillance photos. Skiff along with the other man, 25 year old Derrick Andrus Sharp also of Mauston, was arrested. Inside the vehicle were multiple tools believed to be consistent with burglaries. Sharp Andrus is facing charges of Possession of Burglarious Tools and Receiving Stolen Property.
