Streetcar Experiment to Start this Week in Downtown Milwaukee

Streetcar testing begins this week in downtown Milwaukee.  Wisconsin’s largest city will have five streetcars in service by the end of the year. The first streetcar vehicle was delivered March 26th.  The first tests will focus on the L-E-D signs on the outside of the vehicle.  Riders can hop on the streetcar starting in November.  A sponsorship deal with Potawatomi Hotel and Casino means those rides will be free for the first year.  Four more streetcars are going to be delivered to Milwaukee over the next few months.
