A Stevens Point man is facing charges of Uttering a Forgery and a Misdemeanor charge of Theft.  A local gas station notified Mauston Authorities that 38 year old Ian Johnson had used checks at the gas station that were not his.  The checks were those of a Shawano man, who did not give Johnson permission to use the checks.  Johnson had written out various checks to several businesses across the state.  Mauston Police were able to verify Johnson through surveillance photos taken at the gas station.
