Packers Sign OT Byron Bell
Free-agent tackle Byron Bell has announced on his Instagram account that he has signed a deal with the Green Bay Packers. The 29-year-old Bell played for the Dallas Cowboys last season as a reserve, but he started for five years with the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans. Bell will compete with Jason Spriggs, Kyle Murphy and Adam Pankey for snaps while the team waits for Bryan Bulaga to return from a knee injury. Bulaga may have to be placed on the “physically unable to perform” list if he isn’t ready to go by September.
