One Party Sentenced in 2015 Tomah Hotel Murder

One of two people involved in the murder of a man in a Tomah hotel room in 2015 will spend the next 13 years behind bars. Monroe County Judge Todd Zielger sentenced 23-year-old Sebastian Martinez Wednesday afternoon. Martinez pled no contest in May to charges of armed robbery with the use of force and aiding and harboring a felon. Martinez and 28-year-old Zachary Davis were sharing a room with 43-year-old Derek Magnuson at the EconoLodge when Davis stabbed Magnuson to death and Martinez took his wallet. Davis was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole last year.
