New Cutoff Reception Time for the Adams County Register of Deeds
Beginning January 1st, 2018, the cutoff reception time for receiving documents to be recorded the same business day will be 4:00 PM at the Adams County Register of Deeds Office. Adams County Register of Deeds Jodi Helgeson said it’s not necessarily a new procedure as they’ve been doing this by policy for several years and simply had it formalized by county ordinance this November. Helgeson said it allows them time to review a batch of documents and record them prior to the official end of business day which is currently 4:30. Wisconsin Statutes allow up to one hour cut off reception time. Documents received after 4 PM will be held for the next business day.
