Mauston Man Facing 7th Offense Drunk Driving

James Robert Baumgartner, 37 years of age, from Mauston, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol DeForest Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 7th offense.  Trooper responded to a report of a vehicle run off on I94 in the Town of Deerfield, near Milepost 248 in Dane County. Upon arrival a male occupant was found seated in the driver’s seat slumped over, with the keys in the ignition and the car in drive.

Subject was arrested for OWI 7th offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernailia, THC and Methamphetamine. “Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
