Madison woman charged with Hit and Run

35 year old Sarah Bires of Madison was arrested early Sunday morning after fleeing the scene of an accident and then attempting to flee traffic officers.  She allegedly backed into a semi-truck in the rest area between Mauston and Lyndon Station on I-90 94, then left the scene and drove the wrong way, westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-90/94.   Law enforcement authorities gave chase and finally stopped her near New Lisbon after 3 a.m. Sunday morning.  She was arrested and charged with three counts including; Recklessly Endangering Safety, Attempting to Flee or Elude, and Hit and Run.  The investigation continues.
