Glenwood City Teacher Charged with 5 Felonies after Pursuing Online Relationship with 15 Year Old

A coach and social studies teacher in Glenwood City is charged with five felonies in St. Croix County.  Investigators say 45-year-old Peter L. Gaustad pursued an online sexual relationship with a teenage girl in Missouri.  The 15-year-old girl told her mother she had sent several nude photos to Gaustad, though she refused to give his name at first.  Authorities in Boone County, Missouri, then reached out to Wisconsin for help with the case.  The girl told investigators she began communicating with the teacher last November on an app called “Whisper.”
