Nenia, Leonard, age 71, of Shabbona, Illinois

Leonard Nenia, 71, of Shabbona, Illinois passed away peacefully on September 4, 2017 at Willow Crest nursing home in Sandwich Illinois. Leonard was born in Badhorn Germany to Hryhory and Olga Nenja in 1946 and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1950. Leonard lived on a farm outside Grand Marsh, WI for most of his childhood. He graduated Adams-Friendship high school in 1963, attended the University of Wisconsin Madison as an undergraduate, and served 3 years in the Army, including 13 months in Vietnam.
