On Friday morning, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a vehicle in the water at Big Roche a Cri Lake near the Highway 13 bridge in the Town of Preston. When deputies arrived, they observed a vehicle had exited Highway 13 and was in the water sinking rapidly. The vehicle appeared to be occupied. Deputies immediately entered the water and extricated a lone female occupant. The female was transported to Moundview Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is currently undergoing a mental health evaluation.
