Tomah Memorial Hospital Foundation Funds “Stop the Bleed”

A $1500 donation from the Tomah Memorial Hospital Foundation will allow the Tomah Area Ambulance Service to provide life-saving bleeding control kits in each building throughout the Tomah School District. Foundation officials made the contribution to fund the “Stop the Bleed” program which Tomah ambulance director Randy Dunford says is possible due to community partnerships.  Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign designed to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives on the scene of an accident or event. Madison Man Arrested for OWI-5th Offense

A Madison man was arrested for OWI-5th offense. On Wednesday, at about 11:38 p.m., a Sauk County deputy conducted a traffic stop on County Highway BD near North Reedsburg Road in the Town of Delton for a speed violation. During the traffic stop, the deputy observed indications that the operator was impaired by alcohol. After further investigation, the Deputy arrested the operator for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated and transported him to the Sauk County Jail. It was later learned that the operator had provided a false name to the deputy.  The operator was identified as 31-year-old Darren B. Neal of Madison. Neal has 4 previous convictions for Operating
