>>Governor Decides Not To Appeal Ruling On Special Elections (Madison, WI)  —  Governor Scott Walker has changed his mind and will apparently call a special election for two vacant legislative seats this (Thursday) morning.  Walker’s office announced he decided not to appeal to the Wisconsin Supreme Court a judge’s denial of his request for eight more days.  The deadline is at noon.  The Wisconsin Department of Justice had indicated the governor would call the elections for June 12th if he lost his appeal.  That wasn’t affirmed as the date for the special elections when he dropped the effort.  It isn’t clear if the action taken by the Wisconsin Senate during
