>>Judge Rules Prosecutors Lack Probable Cause (Wausau, WI) — A Marathon County judge told prosecutors there wasn’t enough probable cause to move forward with two felony charges against a Wausau mother. Twenty-six-year-old Chantele O’Brien was accused of causing mental harm to a child, plus two counts of child neglect. Police found evidence of drug use when they executed a search warrant at her home. When police arrived at the door, O’Brien’s seven-year-old daughter reportedly asked if officers were there to get “all the needles,” then showed them where they were.
