A coach and social studies teacher in Glenwood City is charged with five felonies in St. Croix County.  Investigators say 45-year-old Peter L. Gaustad pursued an online sexual relationship with a teenage girl in Missouri.  The 15-year-old girl told her mother she had sent several nude photos to Gaustad, though she refused to give his name at first.  Authorities in Boone County, Missouri, then reached out to Wisconsin for help with the case.  The girl told investigators she began communicating with the teacher last November on an app called “Whisper.” Source: WRJC.com News At Other State Sites: [wp-rss-aggregator source=”87908,87904,713,696,676″]

A Tripoli man is scheduled for sentencing in Oneida County court during a Wednesday appearance.  Sixty-two-year-old Kenneth Welsh was given a three-year sentence in January for threatening to blow up his home and kill his wife, then engaging authorities in a standoff lasting several hours.  That sentence was tossed out after he said his attorney didn’t tell him all he needed to know about his plea.  Welsh pleaded no contest again Friday, this time to a reduced charge. Streetcar testing begins this week in downtown Milwaukee.  Wisconsin’s largest city will have five streetcars in service by the end of the year. The first streetcar vehicle was delivered March 26th.  The first tests will focus on the L-E-D signs on the outside of the vehicle.  Riders can hop on the streetcar starting in November.  A sponsorship deal with Potawatomi Hotel and Casino means those rides will be free for the first year.  Four more streetcars are going to be delivered to Milwaukee over the next few months.
