Fellow Republicans are reacting to the news today that U-S House Speaker Paul Ryan of Janesville will not run for another term in 2018. Wisconsin Republican Party chair Brad Courtney said in a release that Ryan has been a passionate advocate for Wisconsin and a dedicated public servant for two decades. Portage Man Accused of Killing And Dumping Cats

A Portage man could be facing criminal charges for allegedly killing and dumping cats. Liz Masterson says she found nine dead cats on her property. She says they appeared to be healthy cats that didn’t have any signs of sicknees. Masterson says she confronted the 73-year-old man as he dumped a cat’s body on her land, and he drove off. The man — who has not been identified — has so far received citations for disorderly conduct and littering. Columbia County prosecutors are looking at potential criminal charges against the man. Guerra Strong in First Start of Season as Brewers defeat Cardinals

The Milwaukee Brewers edged the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon 3-2.  The Brewers got a strong pitching performance from recently called up Junior Guerra.  Guerra pitched 5 1/3 innings giving up just one run to notch his first win of the season.  The Brewers got just enough offense in the game getting home runs from Hernan Perez and Eric Thames.  The win improves the Brewers to 7-6 overall and 5-1 on the road.
