Fitchburg Man Sentenced In Fatal Shooting

A Fitchburg man convicted of killing one woman and wounding another at a Madison group home was sentenced to 60 years in prison Thursday. Ali Hassan was convicted in the shooting death of Fatoumatta Jallow and for injuring Julie Connors. Both where working at the group home in December of 2016 when they were shot. Hassan asked the judge for leniency prior to his sentencing, saying he did not wake up on the day of the shooting with the intent to hurt anyone.
