Maly, Mildred M., age 100 of Elroy
Mildred M. Maly, age 100 years, of Elroy, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wisconsin.
She was born on May 11, 1917 to Jake and Susie (Deprez) Kopenhafer in the Town of Wonewoc, Juneau County, Wisconsin. She graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1935. Mildred was united in marriage to Charles Maly on April 1, 1936 in Belvedere, Illinois.
They farmed near Elroy in the early 1950’s, then lived in the New Lisbon area for many years and later the Necedah area. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2003. Since 2003, Mildred has lived in Elroy.
Mildred worked for many years at a garment factory in Mauston and was also a member of the New Lisbon American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, going out to eat and playing cards and treasured her Great Grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Bender of Elroy and Janice (James) Erdman of Menomonie; three grandchildren, Martin, Will (Brittany) and Ryland Erdman and a great grandson, Shaun Erdman.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy, with Rev. James Gerth officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.
