The School District of Mauston to Hold Facilities Information Meetings

As the School District of Mauston works diligently on the academic front to help all students reach their individual goals and highest potential, the board and District administration must also be good stewards of our school buildings and resources. As such, the District will be holding a planned series of three Facilities Information Meetings in December, January and February to share information about the current state of the District’s buildings, the District’s financial position, and potential opportunities to create efficient and modern learning environments for students.

This summer, the School District of Mauston began the process of long-range facilities planning by partnering with Plunkett Raysich Architects (PRA) to conduct a comprehensive facilities study. The study gave the District an in-depth assessment of every square foot of all school buildings and grounds, so that the District can begin to prioritize capital maintenance needs as well as to assess where it can modernize our teaching and learning spaces. PRA, along with Miron Construction, are in the process of helping the District evaluate all needs and consider potential options to address these needs.

Community input is critical to this process of understanding needs, determining priorities, and planning for the future. Please join us to learn about the District’s facilities needs and the proposed plans to address them. Each session builds on the next, so please attend as many as your schedule allows.
